Rocksmith+ Poster, T-shirt, & Coasters
The Project
I was brought in to help ideate concepts for assets to go inside an event mailer box that would go out to specific individuals in promotion for the launch of Rocksmith+. Some items included in the package were a mini amp, guitar strap and fabric patches, all styled with the standard Rocksmith+ branding.
The Challenge
For this project brand wanted to see fresh ideas that explored different musical genera. We needed to push the creative boundaries for our concepts while still hitting on aspects of the Rocksmith+ branding. Our strategy as a team was to showcase a range of safe on-brand designs to out-there eye-catching designs for the brand team to weigh in on. When developing our concepts, we utilized three main elements to showcase our designs, a poster, a t-shirt, and a set of coasters.
The Solution
As part of our pitch, I created three designs. The first design, Endless Music Bundle, reflected the many genera Rocksmith+ includes. It highlights the depth of musical possibilities in a simplistic graphic/typography first design. The second design, Music Tribute Bundle, leans into more of a rock-forward look but stays open-ended with a strong tagline. The third design, Rocker Octi-Bundle, was a further move away from the brand identity but proved helpful in satisfying the brand team's desire to see unique options.
Ultimately, the brand team went with my first design, the Endless Music Bundle. My co-worker who took over the project saw the designs through to the end and did a fantastic job.
