Assassin’s Creed 15-Year Anniversary Event Toolkit
The Project
For the 15-year anniversary, Assassin’s Creed developed a marketing campaign to celebrate. This involved a specialized keyart featuring a new logo, a gold statue, and a collage of all the assassins throughout the game’s history.
The Challenge
Collaborating with my Art Director and the brand team in Europe, I was tasked with creating a graphic package, what Ubisoft refers to as a toolkit, based on the 15-year keyart. This package’s purpose is to set the tone and give guidance for all continued digital marketing initiatives.
The Solution
I developed the look for typography, borders, lower thirds, logo stamps, and various banners. Focusing on the elite and refined nature of the keyart, I developed a smoke texture to be used as a base layer for the thin gold lines and type. This smoke texture became a tool to merge the vertical game-specific keyart with the assassin background for horizontal layouts. Using the toolkit as a visual guide, I created various digital activations for the campaign.
